Membership Associations

If you don’t meet one of the standard Member qualification paths, CU SoCal offers an easy, no-cost way for anyone to become eligible for Membership through one of our nonprofit partner associations. Open your account online to join CU SoCal through the American Consumer Council (ACC) or schedule a branch appointment to join through the Financial Fitness Association (FFA).

American Consumer Council (ACC)

The American Consumer Council (ACC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to consumer advocacy, financial education, and recognizing companies that exceed consumer expectations.  

  • ACC is a lifetime membership-CU SoCal pays it for you 
  • ACC Membership qualifies you for CU SoCal Membership
  • You may choose to establish ACC Membership directly within the  CU SoCal Membership application 
  • You do not need to continue your ACC Membership to remain a CU SoCal Member

Financial Fitness Association (FFA)

The Financial Fitness Association (FFA) is a non-profit organization focused on improving financial literacy and money management skills. Its mission is to help individuals avoid financial distress, gain control of their finances, and achieve long-term financial goals.  

  • Your first year of FFA Membership is free—CU SoCal pays it for you 
  • FFA Membership automatically qualifies you for CU SoCal Membership (offered only in our branches) 
  • You do not need to continue FFA Membership to remain a CU SoCal Member 

Once a CU SoCal Member, always a CU SoCal Member. No matter how you qualify, once your Membership is established and your share savings account is opened, you’ll enjoy full access to CU SoCal’s products, services, and Member benefits.
