Dexter De Mesa brings more than 30 years of experience in real estate finance, with an even blend of 15 years in residential lending and 15 years in commercial lending. Throughout his career, Dexter has built high-performing teams and developed tailored lending solutions for niche markets and complex borrower needs.
Known as a true solutionist, Dexter takes a holistic approach to investment property financing. During one multifamily lending engagement, he identified that a Member’s existing portfolio carried disproportionate leverage and cash flow constraints that would have prevented approval. Rather than issuing a simple decline, Dexter designed a refinancing strategy across all three properties, aligning leverage appropriately and restoring positive cash flow to each asset which ultimately strengthened the Member’s long-term financial health.
